Voodling is a state of mind. That is why it transforms itself according to conditions and events. Voodling applies itself to everything, and yet it is nothing, it is the point where the yes and the no and all the opposites meet, not solemnly in the castles of human philosophies, but very simply at street corners, like dogs and grasshoppers. Like everything in life, Voodling is useless. Voodling is without pretension, as life should be. Perhaps you will understand me better when I tell you that Voodling is a virgin microbe that penetrates with the insistence of air into all the spaces that reason has not been able to fill with words or conventions.” — Sam Rensiew – spacetwo: patalab

 Jillian Mcdonald - Screen Kiss
“Me and Billy Bob…takes as its subject a ‘crush’ I have on actor and musician Billy Bob Thornton. Unfortunately, Billy Bob has not responded, and I am ready to make him jealous. Screen Kiss features several popular actors including Daniel Day Lewis,Vincent Gallo, Johnny Depp, and one actress, Billy Bob’s former wife Angelina Jolie. In each case I inserted myself into existing film scenes as stand-in for the actresses or actor being kissed by or engaged in other gestures of romance with these stars. I make eye contact with the camera, which functions as voyeur and Billy Bob’s, presumably jealous, eye.” (Jillian Mcdonald via Dorn at DVblog.)

In The Pool
What I love about this video from Mike Moon is its beautiful communion, with few words, between two people held delicately in a moment in time. I find it poignant, tender and visually poetic. And we can hope that far into the unknown future they’ll view the memory of this occurrence in a small pool in Canada, as something that was once beautifully there and pleasurably shared, a something rather special.
